The Town of Pagosa Springs received a rezoning application for a portion of Block 40. The applicant requested to rezone five (5) lots within Block 40, addressed as 141, 157, 173, 181, and 189 S. 6th Street, from Medium Density Residential (R-12) to Mixed Use Residential (MU-R). The request would amend the zoning designation of the subject properties.
Following a public hearing held on June 10, 2026, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the rezoning application to the Town Council. The proposed ordinance will be considered by the Town Council at first reading on July 7, 2026, and second reading on July 21, 2026. Both meetings will be held at 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 551 Hot Springs Boulevard, Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and are available for remote attendance via the Zoom meeting platform.
Public comments will be made in person and over Zoom. To access the meeting agendas and staff reports, click the round Minutes and Agendas tab located along the bottom of the photo on the Town’s website home page at pagosasprings.co.gov.
We encourage interested parties to contact the Planning Division prior to the public hearing dates, with any questions at either 970-585-8636 or ktunnell@pagosasprings.co.gov. Written comments received 7 days prior to the meeting or public hearing will be forwarded to the Town Council for their consideration. Public comments will be accepted at the public hearing.
