The Springs Resort Hotel Expansion - 323 Hot Springs Blvd.
The Town of Pagosa Springs has received an application for “Final Major Design Review” at 323 Hot Springs Blvd, for a proposed 78 room hotel, a spa of approximately 15,000 square feet to contain 12 spa treatment rooms, and a 1,700 SF restaurant. The structure will be west of the existing Springs Hotel (“Ecolux”) building. Development will also include an extension of pools and outdoor space adjacent to the San Juan River north and west of the existing Springs Hotel building. The expansion will include a private outdoor music venue area east of the proposed building, and south of the existing Springs Hotel building.
The Design Review Board will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 5:30 pm to consider the Final Major Design Review Application.
Public Hearings and Meetings will be conducted at 551 Hot Springs Blvd and available for remote attendance via the Zoom meeting platform. Written comments received 7 days prior to the meeting or public hearing will be forwarded to the Design Review Board for their consideration. Public comments will be taken at the public hearings/meetings.
Questions
Where will they get water and sewer from? With all the proposals on deck, it might be a good time to start including requirements on the developers to secure and invest in supporting the conservation and infrastructure required. Uncontrolled growth without proper infrastructure planning will only exacerbate traffic woes (no left turn pagosa), sanitation infrastructure issues and added demand on water as our 20 drought marches on and reservoirs run dry.
